CIMNET Announces Three New MES Contracts

Robesonia, PA, July 29, 2004

CIMNET ® , Inc. (OTC BB: CIMK), a leading developer of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software, today announced that its Factelligence Ô MES Software has been selected for three new sites within the automotive and aerospace industries. Metalsa, headquartered in Apodaca , Mexico , has selected Factelligence for a multiple site rollout to monitor production throughout its chassis manufacturing lines. The first implementation of Factelligence within Metalsa has begun with goals of production and work-in-process (WIP) tracking, utilization tracking and ERP integration. South Bend Controls, Inc., a manufacturer of fluid control valves for the aerospace and medical industries and Hutchinson Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of wheels for the defense and commercial sectors, have both also began implementations of Factelligence. The goals of these implementations are similar with both sites requiring production and WIP tracking, DNC (distributed numerical control) communication, paperless manufacturing, labor and machine utilization tracking.

Factelligence is an MES solution designed to assist manufacturers with improved production management and visibility. Within its core module set, Factelligence offers full tracking of production transactions, WIP moves, labor and machine time and quality data collection.

The contract with Metalsa also represents a significant triumph for CIMNET with its new subscription pricing model. In April 2004, CIMNET introduced an alternative method of procuring its MES Software by allowing end users to "subscribe" to specific functions within the suite on a yearly basis. Customers have the ability to choose specific modules desired and the total number of concurrent users required for their implementation. Once modules and users have been identified, customers have the ability to purchase yearly licenses which includes software maintenance and support versus buying a "perpetual" license.

"We are very pleased with the initial reaction to our subscription model," stated Jason Dietrich, Vice President of CIMNET. "We believe we can help companies achieve their desired return on investment by lowering the cost of entry and allowing a scalable implementation. With Metalsa, their goals are to grow their user base over time and implement our solution to a number of manufacturing lines and facilities. The subscription approach has enabled Metalsa to meet their desired goals now and in the future."

"In addition, the sales to South Bend Controls and Hutchinson Industries are important wins for CIMNET due to the industries they serve and the planned use of the Factelligence offering," continued Dietrich. "In both cases, these companies recognize that they require additional shop floor visibility and improved work flow. We have been serving the discrete marketplace since our company was founded twenty years ago. We are proud to continue to sell into these industries and meet our goals of being a significant presence in the discrete market."
