SPC Manager
The SPC (Statistical Process Control) Manager provides real-time production data collection and analysis tools. The Wonderware Factelligence® SPC Manager captures critical quality data to ensure your plant processes are in control and that your material is produced to specification.

Production data collection and analysis is a key component in a successful manufacturing operation. The SPC Manager module enables you to configure data collection plans, link collection to a given part or process, tie control limits and specifications to acquisitions, and analyze data collected by your operators or automated CMM machines.
Use the SPC Manager to capture valuable information with the convenience of data validation and immediate analysis and operator feedback.
Create your Plans
Create SPC collection plans in the Supervisor program by establishing attribute and variable characteristics to collect and associate reasonable, specification, and control limits to the collection plan.
Design Collection Forms
Use the standard data collection forms provided with the SPC Manager module or use the Forms Manager module to create specific collection forms for each acquisition.
Link to the Process
Launch the correct collection form from the Statistical Process Control screens in Operator. Ensure your operators are collecting the right quality data at the right time.
Capture Data
Save measurements to a relational database for reporting, analysis, and process improvement. The data is linked to the work order, lot, work center, date, time, user, and any optional condition information so it can be filtered any way that's needed.
Alert on Exceptions
Alert the operator and key managers when the process control limits are violated. Allow reason codes to be entered for out of control samples.
Analyze the Data
Choose from an extensive set of charts to view and analyze data captured by the operator in real time, including process capability and Z-score calculations. Or use historical trending and charting capabilities to evaluate past performance.
SPC Manager capabilities
Using the Wonderware Factelligence SPC Manager module, QA managers and engineers can:
- Configure SPC characteristics for collection by operators
- Determine sample size and the interval for the collection by time or piece count
- Associate notes and files for reference during collection
- Establish variable, counted attribute or pass/fail attribute collections
- Determine how the data will be captured via keyboard or gage
- Link characteristics to an item and identify reasonable, specification, and control limits to each characteristic; specify control limit recalculation frequency
- Associate a collection plan or set of characteristics to a given operation of a process
- Instantiate collection plans as part of a work order or job
- Use standard forms for data entry or create custom forms using the Forms Manager module
- Capture data real time in the Operator program using the data entry forms
- Store data with relationships to work order variables, material lot information, and process segment
- Alert and notify when control limits are violated
- Analyze the data using SPC Manager's charting and trending engine from within Operator
- Analyze the data using reporting provided in Factelligence
