Customer Manager

The customer manager module allows you to record and track the fulfillment of sales orders from customers and purchase orders to vendors. It also provides for controlling the movement of inventory internally, including the reservation of specific goods for specific work orders (e.g. preweighing of ingredients) and pick lists.

Sales and Purchase Orders
Define customer organizations and contacts within each organization. Receive sales orders from a customer, or transmit purchase orders to a vendor, with multiple line items, each of which may have its own due date. Track complete or partial shipments/receipts including lot numbers and the quantity of each, and how they were shipped.

Inventory Reservation
Create inventory reservations for some or all of the components/ingredients for a particular operation of a work order. These can include requirements to move material from one location or container to another, including specific lot information. This may also involve changing the units-of-measure, or other inventory characteristics (e.g. grade, state, or expiry). Fulfilling these requirements can be a separate step, as in a preweigh operation.

Inventory Transfer
Generate "to-do" lists for inventory movements — pick lists for a sales order, or storage lists for material received against a P.O., or just general inventory transfers. Stockmen equipped with mobile terminals can work directly from these lists, filling in actual information as they go.

Customer Manager capabilities

  • A single organization may be defined as both a customer and a vendor, eliminating double entry.
  • Order quantities may be defined with both minimum and maximum amounts in addition to the nominal amount for bulk products.
  • Supports dual IDs (vendor and customer) for items.
  • Shipments and receipts can be in different units than those in which inventory is recorded.
  • Sales orders may be tied to specific work orders for MTO environments.
  • Generate shipment information directly from a pick list for a sales order.
  • Sales and purchase orders may be filtered by status and item. Inventory transfers may be filtered by item, origin, destination, and other parameters specific to the type of transfer.
  • 4 spare fields for each object allows additional information to be captured at every level.
