Certification Manager
The Wonderware Factelligence® Certification Manager module was created to assist manufacturers with ensuring the appropriate levels of training for their facility personnel and to act as a means for electronic signatures and sign-offs on specific transactions. The Certification Manager module is broken into two categories: a) establishing a certification or "level" per operator or user which is required prior to performing work on a given part or operation or task and b) establishing a certification type that requires a signoff when the transaction on a given operation or step is completed.

Certifications are user-defined in Wonderware Factelligence and are unlimited. They are assigned to the part, operation or step and are designated as "auditable" or not. Auditable certifications enforce a signoff or e-signature at the completion of the operation or step. Users are then assigned to the certifications with a level and expiration date (or permanent). As processes are defined in the system by engineers or process planners, required certifications are assigned to the parts, operations and steps. During the execution of the manufacturing process, Factelligence verifies an operator's certification status and determines whether or not they have the ability to work on a given part, operation or step. The system also determines if a sign-off is required and which operators have that authority.
The Certification Manager module is also a key component to Factelligence's FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance strategy by enforcing e-signatures in a done-by, checked-by environment.
